Who am I?

I started my career in health care at fifteen and have worked nearly every role on the way to becoming a nurse practitioner. I began in nursing homes and home health as a CNA, moved into ER registration, then worked as an ER unit clerk and tech. I spent five years as a registered nurse and have been an acute care nurse practitioner since 2012.

Writing under the pen name Zoey Lawson, I’m also a compassionate, tech-savvy, and funny foster mom whose hardest battles have shaped me into a steady voice of hope. With a long career in health care and a heart for the hurting, I write to care for others the way I once wished someone had cared for me, inviting readers to find their own path from pain to healing.

What Forgiveness Asked of Me is my first book, a project seven years in the making. My hope is that in its pages you find language for your own story and a little more courage to keep going.
